‘Hopefully’: Danny Rose says he’d really like ‘world class’ manager to get the Tottenham job

We’re in the middle of the Ange Postecoglou era at Spurs, but a suggestion as to who Tottenham should hire next has just been made.

Indeed, speaking on The Spurs Show, Danny Rose has claimed that he’d like to see Mauricio Pochettino back at Tottenham.

Of course, Rose worked with Pochettino during his heyday at Spurs, and when discussing the Argentine, he’s claimed that he feels he has unfinished business at the club and that he’d like to see him back one day.

Mauricio Pochettino backed for Tottenham return by Danny Rose

Rose spoke about the ‘world class’ manager and a potential return to Spurs.

“There were rumours that was what he was hoping for (a rebuild), but it didn’t happen. I’m a huge fan of Ange right now, but if Poch had been able to get what he’s inherited or whatever he’d still be at the club now,’ Rose said.

“I was gutted he left. They say you should never go back, but I believe he has unfinished business at Tottenham and hopefully he will go back.”

Postecoglou is going nowhere yet

While it would be nice to see Pochettino back at Tottenham one day, it’s hard to see this happening anytime soon.

Indeed, Ange Postecoglou is only just getting started at Spurs, and while Tottenham’s form at the end of the season wasn’t great, it’s hard to see the Australian being given the boot in the near future.

Postecoglou seems to be the man Daniel Levy is backing to take Spurs to the top, and he will be given all of the necessary tools to transform Tottenham and take them to the heights they were so close to hitting under Pochettino.

Maybe we will see Pochettino back at Spurs one day, but that may be many years from now.
