There were smiling faces all around for one village’s ladies’ club as they celebrated decades of friendship last week.
Newton Ladies Club gathered for an anniversary meal at the Elm Tree Inn in Wisbech.
This year marks the group’s 30th year since it was founded.
Each member was given an inscribed pen and a bookmark handmade by chairperson Margaret.
“We’re still going to carry on, and the club always seems to be successful,” said secretary Penny Moore.
In the coming weeks, the club is planning for an indoor curling event at Newton Village Hall on Tuesday, June 18, where there will be a buffet supplied by the members
