‘Everyone’: Kyogo Furuhashi shares what people at Celtic really think of Adam Idah

Adam Idah’s future at Celtic has been the subject of much speculation over the past few weeks.

The Republic of Ireland international arrived at Celtic in January to a relatively low-key media announcement from Norwich City on loan.

However, despite that, Idah made a massive impact on the team as his goals helped Celtic on the way to the league title and won Brendan Rodgers his third Scottish Cup as the Celtic boss.

Idah’s nine goals since his January arrival have made him an instant hit with the Celtic fans. They have also made his signature one of Brendan Rodgers’ summer priorities as well.

So now that we have established how the Celtic supporters and the manager feel about Idah, what about the rest of the Parkhead dressing room?

Kyogo reveals Celtic’s dressing room wish

The Japanese striker is undoubtedly Celtic’s number one striker. However, on a couple of occasions this season, Rodgers has preferred Idah to start.

But that hasn’t altered Kyogo’s view on his temporary teammate or that of the rest of the Celtic dressing room on how they feel about their Scottish Cup winner.

Kyogo said [The Herald], “He’s doing a very good job and as a striker, as a colleague, I am very happy for him.

“I think everyone wishes him to stay. But at the end of the day, that’s his decision.

“We want him to stay, though.”

Buying Idah would be a great move for Celtic and a brilliant player to have on board to help push Kyogo for a starting spot.

At just 23, Idah has his whole future ahead of him and if £5m is the price Norwich City want for him, Celtic must pay it. No question.

The finances available to the club make this move relatively risk-free considering Idah has already proven himself.

Let’s get it done Celtic and start the preparations for next season now.
