Although President Joe Biden's 2024 campaign doesn't plan to "directly address" Donald Trump's New York hush money trial "until a verdict is reached," according to Politico, the president's team showed up to the Manhattan courthouse Tuesday.

Per the news outlet's Tuesday report, some Biden allies "have expressed private frustration that the media is obsessed with Trump, making it difficult at times to garner attention for the incumbent."

As a result, in "a dramatic reversal of the president’s strategy," team Biden "decided over the weekend to authorize a 'guerrilla-style' campaign event near the courthouse in an effort to break through the non-stop cable news coverage of the Trump trial, according to two people familiar with plans and granted anonymity to describe them," Politico reports.

The news outlet notes, "As a car alarm rang out and a group of nearby Trump supporters shouted loudly outside the courthouse Tuesday morning," actor Robert De Niro, "who recently voiced a campaign ad for Biden, and former police officers Michael Fanone and Harry Dunn, who responded to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attacks, railed against Trump before the crowd of cameras."

Per the report, "Biden campaign officials acknowledged that holding the surprise press conference was a change in tactics, but said it was not a change of their overall strategy."

Moving forward, a source close to the campaign noted that "they plan to be 'nimble and creative'" in their efforts to "break through the media cycle."

Like team MAGA has done in support of Trump over the last couple of week, Biden's team and allies on Tuesday spoke to reporters about their reason for showing up in the Big Apple.

Politico reports, "Asked by a reporter why the president’s reelection campaign decided to hold an event at Trump’s trial, his communications director had a simple answer: 'Because you all are here,'" Biden communications director Michael Tyler said.

"You’ve been incessantly covering this, day in and day out," Tyler added, emphasizing that the Biden camp's goal is to "remind voters of 'the stakes of this election.'"
