Everyone knows Kim Kardashian has her hands full these days. Not only is she a reality TV star, a billionaire businesswoman, and a mom, but she also studies law and has an interest in prison reform. Previous seasons of The Kardashians have seen Kim taking trips to jails, as well as meeting with formerly incarcerated people. Now, fans are gobsmacked to see her meeting Gypsy Rose in season 5.
No, your eyes are not deceiving you, The Kardashians season 5 introduction sees Kim Kardashian arrive at an apartment before Gypsy Rose answers the door. Kim appears to be super happy to meet her as she says: “Hi Gypsy” with a smile and the two go in for a hug. Kim may be in great spirits about the meeting, but fans aren’t sure.
Kim Kardashian meets Gypsy Rose
Gypsy Rose Blanchard is a 32-year-old woman who hails from Louisiana.
She hit the headlines in 2015 when her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, was murdered.
Gypsy was found guilty of second-degree murder and served eight and a half years of a 10-year prison sentence.
Back in January, she told Extra TV she wanted to work with Kim, given the star’s interest in prison reform.
Now, the teaser for season 5 sees the two’s first encounter – so it looks like Gypsy’s hopes were fulfilled.
These days, Gypsy is a social media star. However, she takes to TikTok this May to remind her millions of followers: “…I am not a celebrity, I am a trauma survivor…I am healing…”
While some people appear totally surprised by Gypsy’s appearance on The Kardashians, others aren’t here for Kim “trying to make Gypsy Rose happen.” However, other viewers think there could be some good to come out of the two getting together.

It turns out Gypsy isn’t the only person who’s been behind bars and wants to collaborate with Kim.
Tiger King star Joe Exotic wants the Kardashians star to “help” him get out of jail.
Fans aren’t convinced Kim would go near the case, plus, from what she’s been saying on the Hulu show, she’s busy beyond belief these days.
On her way to Paris with Corey Gamble and Kris Jenner, Kim said: “I go to New York, six hours. To Paris for 15 hours, to Atlantic City, to Milan. My plane is going to go home, and pick up my kids… so I’m actually going to have them drop me off in Milan, then I have to go to Washington DC, so that is how many places in five days?”
Speaking in a confessional, Kim said: “People are like ‘Why do you work so much?’ she continuess: “OK, yeah, that’s my vice. But, what else do you want me to be doing? Do you want me to be doing drugs? If I’m addicted to working and being busy I don’t think that’s a worse thing.”
