Nottingham Forest officially have a player who is quicker than Pedro Neto and Anthony Gordon

Nottingham Forest now have one player who is officially faster than Pedro Neto and Anthony Gordon.

The Reds finished their season with two wins in three matches to remain a Premier League club for another season.

A final day 2-1 win over Burnley confirmed their status in the top-flight and fetched the curtain down on a drab season.

Still, there were some positives across the campaign with a number of individuals showcasing their class.

Murillo enjoyed a solid maiden campaign in the Premier League, withMorgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi also starring.

Now, another player has been spotted in the statistics when it comes to discussing the league’s quickest players.

Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga is quicker than Pedro Neto and Anthony Gordon

It always makes for interesting reading when the quickest players list comes out and Forest star Anthony Elanga has made the grade.

A sprint he made in the 3-1 defeat to Tottenham is fourth on the list with two from Micky van de Ven at the top of the table.

In third place is an effort from Chiedozie Ogbene and Elanga comes in fourth with a speed of 36.91km/h.

These stats come from the official website of the Premier League and showcase Elanga in all of his glory.

The winger signed from Manchester United for a fee of £15 million in the summer and has done extremely well.

His first season saw him score five goals and claim nine assists, with the player a regular in the team under Nuno Espirito Santo.

More to come from Elanga at the City Ground

There is nothing better than seeing a player giving everything he’s got and doing it with a smile on his face.

Elanga has embodied that since he arrived at Forest and he’s really grown as a player over the last 12 months.

His time at Manchester United was largely frustrating, with game time not forthcoming on a regular basis under Erik ten Hag.

Now, the challenge for Elanga is to kick on again at Forest next season.

To register 14 goal contributions during his first season is excellent to be honest but now the bar has been set.

Clearly, his pace is a constant threat and hopefully, Forest can see a more polished version of Elanga during 2024/25.
