‘The stars are aligned’: Everything is set up for Tottenham to sign ‘amazing’ player now – journalist

Tottenham are set for a busy summer transfer window.

Indeed, Spurs have plenty of work to do on their squad this summer, and one player they have consistently been linked with is Eberechi Eze.

The Crystal Palace star has been seen at Spurs games with his family sat in a box recently, and, as you can imagine, speculation has been rife about a potential move to north London.

Speaking on The Spurs Chat Podcast, The Daily Mail’s Josh Hughes has been discussing Eze and his links to Spurs.

Hughes noted that Eze has the same agent as the likes of Richarlison and James Maddison, and he’s led to believe that a deal to sign Eze is there to be done if Ange Postecoglou gives it the green light.

Eberechi Eze deal is there to be done

Hughes spoke about Eze and a potential move to Tottenham.

“His agent, he shares an agent with Richarlison for starters at CAA Base and they have a box and that’s a thing,” Hughes said.

“It’s quite a big box from what I have been told, they invite families of players. I’m trying not to say something that will get me in trouble, but, wink wink, there is probably the scope for Spurs to do something there.

“I mention the agent, if Spurs want to do the deal, I’m sure there’s a deal to be done. Spurs wouldn’t be the only club in for Eze if they did, and I think the decision comes down to Ange Postecoglou.

“It was the same as Maddison, he was a CAA Base deal and that was easy to do, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that deal was agreed far in advance of that window. With a player like Eze, of course you could do the deal, but the decision will be down to Ange. If Ange says he wants him I’m sure Eze could take that opportunity and come to Spurs.”

“Without wanting to get myself in trouble, all of the stars are aligned to do a deal like that. Whether it happens is down to Ange, the club and the player, but I hope so, I think Eze is amazing.”

Tottenham should sign Eze

By the sounds of it, it would be easy for Spurs to sign Eze this summer, and they’d be foolish to not go and get this deal done.

Eze is one of the most talented young players in the Premier League, and he’d suit Ange Postecoglou’s attacking style to a tee.

Of course, a tactical reshuffle would be needed to fit both Eze and James Maddison into the same team, but if Postecoglou could find a way to utilise both players, Tottenham would have one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacks.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on heading into the summer.
