‘Information I have’: Sky journalist says Newcastle are close to agreeing personal terms with 'special' player

Tosin Adarabioyo has been linked with Newcastle for a little while now.

The Fulham defender is said to be one of the Magpies’ top targets heading into the summer transfer window, and talks have been ongoing for a few weeks now.

Speaking on The Fully Loaded Transfer Show, Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth has been discussing Tosin’s talks with Newcastle, and he says that personal terms are almost agreed.

However, while that may sound promising, Sheth played down the idea of Tosin being close to joining Newcastle, making it clear that other clubs could come in between now and a decision being made.

Newcastle close to agreeing Tosin terms

Sheth spoke about Newcastle and their talks with the ‘special’ defender.

“The information I have on the Tosin deal is that a lot of the contract between Newcastle and Tosin has been agreed, there are just a few bits that need ironing out,” Sheth said.

“I don’t think that will be the problem at all, but reaching an agreement with someone who is a free agent and the deal being done are two different things at the moment because he will have interest from a lot of other clubs.”

“A couple of people I have spoken to have said ‘yes Newcastle have held talks with Tosin and his representatives and there is confidence a deal can be agreed,’ but that doesn’t necessarily mean he will join Newcastle because there’s always the possibility he can agree a deal with another club.”

Tosin has a big decision to make

Tosin has an offer on the table from Newcastle, and a good offer by the sounds of things, and now, he has a big decision to make.

Does Tosin jump in head first at Newcastle and get to work right away? Or does he wait and see if reported interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United materialises this summer?

Where Tosin ends up remains to be seen, but, at the moment, it looks as though Newcastle are leading the race to sign the defender.
