‘Definitely’: Phil Hay says £15m Leeds player has another loan clause in his contract this summer

Leeds United have a lot of mess to clean up this summer.

Indeed, after failing to win the play-off final, Leeds’ next steps aren’t particularly clear, but one thing is for sure, they need to shift some of their loanees.

The Whites have so many players on big wages returning this summer after loan spells away from Elland Road last season.

Speaking on The Square Ball Podcast, Phil Hay has been discussing Leeds’ loan army, and he says that there are two players who have clauses in their contracts to go out on loan again next season, and while he couldn’t confirm both players’ names, he did state that Jack Harrison is one such player.

Jack Harrison has loan clause in Leeds contract

Hay shared what he knows about Leeds’ loanees and the clause in the £15m winger’s contract.

“The loanees, there are a stack of those coming back, and Marathe said that they’re not as exposed as they were last season and there aren’t as many clauses live as there were last season,” Hay said.

“My understanding is that there are two. I know one of those is Harrison, I’m not sure on the other, I’m not certain it is Roca, but I think it probably is, but Harrison, definitely.”

Jack Harrison will be back in the Premier League

Harrison’s loan clause at Leeds will likely see the winger return to the Premier League next season.

The Leeds loanee was solid enough at Everton last season, and it wouldn’t be a shock at all if Sean Dyche decided to bring Harrison back to Goodison Park once again.

Of course, other clubs could take an interest, but, most likely, Harrison will be headed back to the Premier League next term, before making a potentially final decision on his Leeds future next summer.
