Well Oregon fans finally got the answer they were wanting. They just didn’t get the answer they wanted.

On Thursday morning CBSSports hoops insider Jon Rothstein announced Oregon center N’Faly Dante was denied his appeal by the NCAA. Dante was hoping to get another year of eligibility for this college season.

ESPN hoops guru Jay Bilas blasted the NCAA for its decision.

Dante had two seasons cut short due to injury. In the 2020-2021 season he was only able to play 6 games. The year before that, the ‘Covid Year’ he played in only 12 games with the tournament being cancelled that season.

Rothstein also announced Oregon will appeal the decision by the NCAA.

Will they re-consider a second time around?

Meanwhile Dana Altman has loaded up his roster with a slew of transfer portal additions. Oregon landed former Stanford forward Brandon Angel, former Toledo guard Ra’Heim Moss and Villanova guard TJ Bamba.
