NC State football fans can finally mark their calendars for the first three weeks of the season after ESPN released kickoff times Thursday afternoon.

The Wolfpack will open the season against Western Carolina on Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. inside Carter-Finley Stadium, and it will be broadcast on the ACC Network. The red and white’s Week 3 game against Louisiana Tech on Sept. 14 is set to begin at noon on the ACC Network.

NC State’s Week 11 game at Georgia Tech also received a game time: 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.

NC State will also travel to Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff against Tennessee on Sept. 7 as previously announced. It will be broadcast on ABC.

The Pack brought in the No. 7 transfer portal class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Quarterback Grayson McCall and wideout Noah Rogers headlined the class. NC State also added Duke running back Jordan Waters, UConn tight end Justin Joly and Notre Dame center Zeke Correll among others. That trio is expected to start for the red and white as well.

In addition to the transfers, NC State returns star wide receiver Kevin “KC” Concecpion, who will likely be the center of the offense in 2024. He logged a standout freshman campaign en route to being named the ACC Rookie of the Year.

Defensively, the Wolfpack will be paced by graduate defensive end Davin Vann, who is back in the No. 1 jersey this fall. He will be joined by redshirt junior linebacker Sean Brown, while graduate cornerback Aydan White will anchor the boundary. Sophomore cornerback Brandon Cisse is also likely to see significant action on the outside of the Wolfpack’s defense.

NC State coach Dave Doeren enters his 12th season at the helm of the Pack, looking to extend his record-setting time in Raleigh. Doeren holds the most all-time wins in program history with 81, which he set last fall with a win over North Carolina to close the regular season.
