WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Don’t miss CaneSport publisher Gary Ferman’s column looking ahead to a massive June for the Miami program, with loaded weekends of official visitors and several Mario Cristobal camps. These are the kinds of months that build programs, so be sure to read Ferman’s take, which includes the official visitors this weekend and where things stand with them.

Then there’s some football team analysis as well. We are looking at the best players at Miami on a national perspective with an assist from Pro Football Focus. In other words, we scour the PFF’s lists of top returning players by position to get a gauge on where Miami stacks up vs. the Alabama’s, Georgia’s, Florida State’s and a few other perceived top national and ACC programs. So don’t miss that.

There’s also our continuing analysis of the top 50 roster players, giving insight onto this team’s talent level and depth. Check out our closer look at No. 30, WR Isaiah Horton.

In recruiting there’s a massive visit weekend upcoming, and we continue our previews of those official visitors.

Among them: Top-150 2025 defensive lineman Javeon Campbell. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound four-star prospect shares his thoughts heading into his trip to UM.

We also catch up with Plantation (Fla.) four-star running back Byron Louis, who has Miami in his final three entering his official visit to UM this weekend.

On the OV list as well this weekend is Miami (Fla.) Central three-star linebacker Ezekiel Marcelin. He updates where things stand heading into it.

Plus we have an update with Enterprise (Ala.) four-star safety/ATH Eric Winters as he heads into this weekend’s UM OV. The Canes have impressed his family … now this weekend will be big in his decision.

A future official visitor? That could be Lynn Haven (Fla.) Mosley High School 2025 EDGE/OL Raedyn Bruens. He recently got an offer and shares where UM stands and his visit plans.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I just want to see how everything is there. Like, I want to feel what it’s like to be down there, and if I was to go there how would it feel on a day-to-day basis? The environment, the educational part, just learn about all of that stuff.”
