The first pitch is set for noon ET on Friday and will be broadcast on the SEC Network. Kentucky has never won a regional in consecutive seasons. The Wildcats have also never made the trip to Omaha for the College World Series. Never say never, right?
Nick Mingione’s program secured the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, a new school record. Even though Kentucky is the No. 2 seed, they are not the second choice in Las Vegas to win the College World Series.
