Cesc Fabregas decides who he thinks is better - John Stones or John Terry

Cesc Fabregas has been asked to pick between two of the highest-decorated centre-backs in Premier League history.

The Spaniard racked up 350 Premier League appearances during his playing career, winning two titles along the way.

Having scored 79 goals and delivered 152 assists during his time in England, the 37-year-old played alongside and against many top-flight stars.

Now though, with another Premier League campaign over, the former Barcelona star has been sharing his thoughts on two particular players who know what it takes to win titles.

In a recent video shared on Goal’s official TikTok channel, Fabregas was involved in a challenge where he had to pick between certain past and present players who have played for either Pep Guardiola or Jose Mourinho.

When asked to pick between John Stones and John Terry, the former midfielder went for Terry, who featured in 276 games under Mourinho at Chelsea across all competitions, more than any other manager he played for throughout his playing career.

Stones vs Terry

During his time at Chelsea, the former defender made 486 Premier League appearances and won five league titles.

With 160 top-flight appearances under his belt for City, Stones has now lifted six Premier League trophies.

Despite that, the fact that Fabregas made 83 appearances with Terry, who was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame earlier this year, during their time together at Chelsea makes it easy to see why he picked the 43-year-old over Stones.

Moving forward, even though Terry is seen as one of the Premier League’s most iconic captains and best defenders in top-flight history, we feel that if the City centre-back can continue to win titles for as long as possible, he’ll eventually be seen as one of the best modern defenders.
