Power outages and their duration may vary depending on region and consumption levels.

On the same day, the country’s hydroelectric operator, Ukrhydroenergo, reported critical damage to two hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) in a devastating Russian attack.

Energy facilities in at least five regions were affected: Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovohrad and Ivano-Frankivsk. "Energy workers are now tirelessly dealing with the consequences of these strikes," Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said earlier.

Ukrainian air defenses were partially successful, intercepting 35 of the 53 Russian missiles and 46 of the 47 Shahed drones used in the attacks.

A recent report by NV Business highlighted the broader impact on Ukraine's energy sector, citing Olena Lapenko of the DiXi Group, who noted that the country’s thermal power generation capacity has plummeted by about 85% due to the ongoing hostilities.
