'Not too happy': Inter Miami star left fuming with what he's now seen after St. Louis City draw

Benjamin Cremaschi has voiced his frustration with Inter Miami after last night’s draw against MLS rivals St. Louis City SC.

The Supporters’ Shield leaders endured another awkward result as Inter Miami had to leave it late to secure a point against St. Louis, who took the lead three times in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Chase Stadium.

With Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez expected to depart for the Copa America this week, last night’s game was an opportunity for Inter Miami to build on from their current place in the overall MLS standings.

Yet having dropped two points, Cremaschi has given his verdict on Inter Miami’s latest result.

Cremaschi not pleased with Inter Miami having dropped points vs St. Louis City

Speaking to the Miami Herald after last night’s draw, Cremaschi voiced his disappointment over Inter Miami dropping even more points having lost midweek against Atlanta United.

With the Herons’ losing Messi after this weekend, these last two games were must-win fixtures for the Florida franchise, who are now in an uncomfortable position heading into the Copa America period of the MLS season.

Cremaschi said on last night’s draw: “Obviously we are not too happy that they scored three goals on us at home. We need to have more passion and desire to win, more so at home than anywhere else.

“We know we have a lot of things to work on, and that is what we are going to do. The idea was to pick up nine points and we finished with four. There are a lot of things to improve upon.”

Inter Miami could regret mini wobble this week later this season

The Supporters’ Shield is clearly a title Inter Miami are now set on winning, with the Herons keen to claim as much silverware as possible having already lot out on the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

And whilst Inter Miami are still top of the standings, this mini wobble this week could go a long way if the Herons end up missing out on the Supporters’ Shield to a rival side.

As Cremaschi himself said, nine points from nine had to be the goal for Inter Miami this week, and missing out on this objective could have ramifications later this year depending on what happens during the Copa America period.
