'We will see': Inter Miami manager delivers injury update after what happened to 'special' player vs St. Louis City

Tata Martino has shared an injury update on one Inter Miami player after what happened last night against St. Louis City SC.

The Herons came from behind three times to draw 3-3 with their MLS rivals in what was a thrilling fixture at Chase Stadium, with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez scoring in what will be their final fixtures before the Copa America.

Whilst Jordi Alba was the star of the show for Inter Miami, the result will go down as a frustrating one for the Florida franchise, who failed to claim all three points with Martino set to lose his two most important attackers for the next six games.

And the Inter Miami coach has now issued an update on one player who was injured last night.

Federico Redonod to have scan after suffering another Inter Miami injury

Speaking to the press after last night’s draw, Martino revealed that Federico Redondo will have a scan after suffering yet another injury with Inter Miami.

The Argentina youth international has only just returned to action having spent close to two months out on the treatment table due to injury, with Redondo hardly featuring for Inter Miami since signing.

And now there’s a chance that the 21-year-old could be out again for Inter Miami, with Redondo’s injury coming at the worst possible time with Messi and Suarez leaving for the Copa America.

Martino said when asked what the latest is regarding Redondo and his fitness: “Redondo has some discomfort in his adductor, and we will see how serious it is through the exams he will undergo.”

Herons will hope Redondo’s latest setback isn’t serious

Redondo is one of the most promising talents in the league and a youngster who could lead Inter Miami to glory if he can stay fit and healthy for the remainder of the MLS season.

Which is why the Herons will be hoping that the midfielder’s latest setback isn’t anything serious, with Redondo already missing a big chunk of the season due to injury.

Indeed, Redondo has the potential to become one of the best midfielders in MLS if he can get a run of games under his belt, and Inter Miami fans will be desperate to see this in the coming weeks.
