A round-up of Manchester United transfer news ahead of a key summer for the club…

Assan Ouedraogo

Bayern Munich have pulled out of a move to sign Schalke wonderkid Assan Ouedraogo, according to Sky Germany.

German outlet Fussball News reported last month Manchester United were one of the clubs interested in the 18-year-old’s signature.

The central midfielder played 17 times in the Bundesliga last season, scoring three goals.

Matheus Cunha

Manchester United are paying close attention to Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, according to The Mirror.

Wolves would be looking for £60 million for the Brazilian, who impressed in both matches against Manchester United last season.

Cunha was once signed by Ralf Rangnick and can play in attacking midfield as well as up front.

Last season the 24-year-old scored 14 goals and provided eight assists for Wolves.

Mohamed Kudus

West Ham playmaker Mohamed Kudus is another player who impressed against Manchester United last season, and Erik ten Hag knows him from Ajax.

The Mirror report Manchester United are ‘on the trail’ of Kudus, but also face competition from Liverpool, who have earmarked him as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah.

West Ham would likely be reluctant to sell a player they only signed last summer and a large fee would be required for his signature.

Kudus scored 14 goals for West Ham last season and also provided six assists.

Douglas Luiz

Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz has been touted as a surprise transfer target for Manchester United.

Italian outlet Calciomercato claim United, Liverpool and Arsenal are set to battle Juventus for the Brazilian midfielder’s signature.

We wouldn’t place much stock in this. Villa would be extremely reluctant sellers considering they have just secured Champions League football, and there is no indication Luiz is interested in leaving.

Daniel Kelly

Manchester United are competing to sign Celtic youngster Daniel Kelly, whose contract at the club is running down.

The Daily Record reports United and Tottenham are both keen on the 18-year-old midfielder, who has made four league appearances for Celtic.

Celtic would be owed under £500,000 in compensation for the teenager, who is still open to extending his contract with the Scottish champions.

Jarrad Branthwaite

Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite was once again linked to Manchester United over the weekend.

Caught Offside reports Branthwaite is United’s top centre-back target and key focus at this stage

However, Everton and Manchester United’s valuations of the England international are currently too far apart and the Red Devils are waiting, planning to bid only if the price drops.
