A Wisbech care home has been awarded the highest rating by an online review site.
Lyncroft Care Home on Clarkson Avenue was handed a perfect ten out of ten by carehome.co.uk, which scores facilities all over the country based on what people have said about them.
Thanks to reviews from friends and family members of the residents, Lyncroft had a visit from the website’s team who verified them as a top choice.
Clair Taylor, vchome manager, said: “We are so proud to receive the top score.
“We thank the friends and family members of our residents who recognise all the hard work, care and commitment shown by our staff and that it has come directly from their experiences whilst we care for their loved ones means a great deal.
“I would like to thank the whole team for all their hard work and dedication as without them this wouldn’t have been possible.”
The home was rated on key parts of care home life, including care and support, facilities, food and drink and overall experience, with one reviewer saying that the place feels “just like home”.
The staff regularly involve residents in community life and events in and around Wisbech, by attending coffee mornings and inviting groups to come into the home, something they believe is very important.
In the future, Lyncroft plans to continue this by bringing residents to the Wisbech Rose Fair on June 29, where they are planning to make the biggest yarn bomb.
