Report: Everton now want to sign 'incredible' £30m Arsenal player on season-long loan

Arsenal are looking to move on some players this summer and Everton are apparently keen on taking one young star on loan.

The Toffees are in for another summer of struggle as it stands after their takeover by 777 Partners appeared to collapse.

That has left the Everton board looking for new buyers or investment and it’s going to be yet another tense few months for the Toffees fans.

However, that hasn’t stopped a few rumours starting up when it comes to transfers.

And according to reports, Everton could now look to sign one of Arsenal’s forwards on loan.

Everton keen on Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah

According to a report from The Sun, Arsenal are open to letting Nketiah leave this summer and there are a number of clubs interested in him.

In the report, Everton are mentioned as being keen on taking Nketiah on a season loan deal if possible.

However, Arsenal would prefer to sell to bring in profit for FFP reasons and a number of other clubs are mentioned as well.

It’s claimed Fulham are on pole position for Nketiah, who Arsenal value at around £30m, while Wolves and Crystal Palace could also throw themselves into the mix.

Nketiah, then, could finally be on his way it seems.

Nketiah can shine elsewhere

There’s no doubt that Eddie Nketiah has given it a good go at Arsenal and he’s stuck it out over the last few years.

However, despite some glimpses last season he’s just not quite at the level where Arsenal need him to be right now.

With that, a move away is probably for the best and a move to someone like Everton would be good for him.

It would offer Nketiah the chance to play regular football and finally be a main player. There’s no doubt the goals are in there and he has been lauded as an ‘incredible‘ talent, but right now, he needs regular games.
