Wolves receive update on Eddie Nketiah transfer stance

On Monday, The Sun reported that Arsenal are willing to part ways with Eddie Nketiah this summer.

Nketiah has been linked to Wolves in the build-up to the summer, with The Sun’s report providing an interesting prospect for the Midlands club.

The report claimed that while the 25-year-old is ‘highly rated’ by Mikel Arteta, Arsenal will let the striker go in the upcoming window as he hunts for more game time.

The Sun say that Fulham are in ‘pole position’ to sign the squad player and would be willing to pay up to £30m for him, but there is ‘likely’ to be competition from Wolves and Crystal Palace.

It will be interesting to see how Wolves react to the news of the forward’s availability this summer, as O’Neil hunts for a new goalscorer at Molineux.

Nketiah availability will be interesting to Gary O’Neil

While Nketiah hasn’t played as much football as he would have liked in recent seasons, the Englishman could come to life under O’Neil at Wolves.

The 25-year-old ended the campaign with seven Premier League goal contributions in 27 appearances, via Sofascore, including an impressive hattrick against Sheffield United.

Nketiah may not be the clinical striker that Wolves fans would have desired however, the Arsenal youngster has displayed the fundamental qualities to become a consistent scorer at top level.

Bukayo Saka dubbed his teammate as ‘outstanding’ during the 2023/24 campaign at the Emirates, with the forward being a well-respected member of Arsenal’s squad.

Now that the manager has learned that the Arsenal man could be available to be purchased this summer, his movements will be an interesting topic to follow in the build-up to the transfer window.
