March Golf Club senior section’s annual charity competition in aid of the Royal Papworth Hospital Charity took place last Wednesday.
Thirty-nine players took part in the competition, the Papworth Cup was won by Brian Abery from Ely City GC with 36 Stableford points.
Roger Watts, the competition organiser was looking to exceed last year's £1600.00 and set a target of £2300 for this year.
Thanks to the generosity and support of players and helpers this year's competition raised £2800.
Roger said: “I am so pleased with the generosity and support for this worthwhile charity, the work they do saves and changes lives, and this money will help to keep that work going.
"I would like to thank everyone who has helped us reach this great total.”
