N.J. man driving classic car dies after hitting utility pole, cops say

A 60-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday night in Andover Township, authorities said.

Joseph P. Luchetti was driving a 1963 Pontiac on Yates Avenue at about 8:45 p.m when he veered off the road and struck a utility pole before the vehicle came to a stop in a culvert, Andover Township police said.

Luchetti, of Andover Township, was pronounced dead at a nearby landing zone as emergency workers were preparing to fly him to a hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
