Sky Sports pundit predicts 14 man exodus as he names Rangers players who could be facing Ibrox exit

The clear out has begun at Rangers with Philippe Clement waving a lot of senior players out the door over the weekend.

The five who left at the end of their contracts were tipped to leave early on with the evergreen Leon Balogun extending his time at Ibrox.

They won’t be the last to leave this summer with Kenny Miller predicting who he thinks Rangers would be willing to sell to raise extra funds for Philippe Clement.

Rangers clear out set to begin as Kenny Miller predicts exodus

There are a lot of players under contract who spend most of their time sitting in the stands, sitting on the bench or lying on a treatment couch.

Thankfully, then benefit of not being big spenders means that there could be profit to be made.

Writing in The Daily Record, Miller has tipped a lot of comings and goings:

“IfPhilippe Clement didn’t know the size of the job he faced at Rangers when he arrived, he does now.

“And I don’t think you can underestimate just how big a rebuild the Belgian has on his hands at Ibrox this summer.

“How the campaign ended will have told the gaffer everything about his squad.

“And with several players either out of contract or out of favour there’s going to be a major overhaul.”

Who has Miller tipped to leave?

Miller goes on to detail who he thinks Clement can trust and who could make way.

With the arrival of Jefte, and Thomas Galdames tipped to sign, Miller reckons that if the January interest in Ridvan Yilmaz is rekindled, that a bid would be accepted.

With a questionable robustness, it’s easy to see why.

After Balogun’s new deal, there are now question marks over the futures of the other senior centre-halves.

Galdames prefers playing in the middle of defence and Jose Cordoba was also close to moving to Glasgow, Connor Goldson, John Souttar and Ben Davies will all be looking over their shoulders according to Miller.

In midfield, the Sky Sports pundit doesn’t see a future for Tom Lawrence and Kieran Dowell either due to how much they are earning compared to their availability.

The most controversial name Miller mentions is Ianis Hagi, he is a saleable asset but there could be a place for him next season under Philippe Clement.

Sam Lammers is an obvious one with Scott Wright and Rabbi Matondo his favourites to be sold if acceptable bids are made.

When you see them written down, on top of this who have left already, it’s easy to see how it could be the biggest rebuild since 2018.
