Unexpected season 6 is officially here. On Monday, June 3 fans get to meet the five couples appearing on this year’s TLC show. Two couples are returning, but there are three new pairs of parents-to-be to get to know including Kayleigh and Graham who are both 15 years old.
The Unexpected season 6 cast also includes Emalee, 18, and Nate, 16, Aniyah, 17, and Dakwon, 17, and returning stars Jenna, 19, and JJ, 20, and Lilly, 22, and Lawrence, 21. While all eyes are on the young couples’ journeys, fans can’t help but wonder about the age gap between Kayleigh’s parents.
Unexpected: Kayleigh and Graham
Following the lives of young couples as they navigate parenthood, Unexpected season 6 episode 2 arrived on Monday, June 3.
During the episode, fans get acquainted with Kayleigh and Graham.
Speaking of the moment he found out he and Kayleigh were expecting a baby, Graham said he felt “nauseous to his stomach about it… and I still am.”
The two are having a baby boy and Graham says: “We love each other a lot.”
They met at 12 years old and have been together three years. They believe they’ve “met their person” in one another.
Unexpected star’s mom and dad
Given that Kayleigh and Graham are both 15, their parents are featured in the TLC show.
Mandy said it had “been a lot to adjust to” seeing her daughter pregnant at 15.
Kayleigh’s mom, Mandy, and her father, Jeff, have a 19-year age gap. Her dad is 59, and her mom is 40.
While Kayleigh and Graham’s relationship seems pretty straightforward, her parents’ romance has some fans super confused.
One takes to X (Twitter) to write: “Her mom is 40 and her dad is 59 with ten kids. His oldest is 35.”
Speaking in a confessional, Jeff explains: “My oldest child is 35 and my youngest is 15.”
He adds that Mandy was 18 and he was 37 years old when they met.
Kayleigh said: “I feel like my dad going after my mom was very risky of him but I mean I guess he was cute because he pulled her…”
