Russians attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles at night: Targets air defense destroyed

On the night of May 3, Russian invaders once again attacked Ukraine from the air, using missiles and UAVs. The Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine intercepted and shot down two missiles and two drones, citing the Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.

Overall, the occupiers launched the following at Ukraine that night:

  • Two Iskander-K cruise missiles from the territory of occupied Crimea towards the Dnipropetrovsk region;
  • Four unmanned aerial vehicles in the northern direction.

"Two were destroyed by mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces in Chernihiv, and two ceased to exist on their own," the general noted regarding the UAVs.

As for the missiles, both were shot down by the anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Forces.

Enemy losses

As of June 4, Ukrainian Defense Forces have eliminated an additional 1,290 Russian invaders in the past 24 hours. Thus, the total losses of the Russian army in personnel since the beginning of the full-scale war have amounted to approximately 512,420 soldiers.

In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed 15 enemy tanks and 65 artillery systems.

Moreover, in an evening report on June 3, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 124 combat engagements occurred during the day.
