‘From Arsenal’: Journalist shares what Arsenal have now directly told him about Benjamin Sesko

Benjamin Sesko is the name making all of the headlines at Arsenal right now.

Indeed, the RB Leipzig striker is said to be Arsenal’s top target heading into the summer transfer window, and Gunners fans are hoping that the big centre-forward will be headed to north London this summer.

Speaking on KS1TV, Steve Kay has given an update on Sesko and Arsenal.

The journalist says he’s heard that Arsenal are very keen on Sesko, and he actually says that he’s had a quote directly from Arsenal about this situation suggesting that the Gunners are waiting for Leipzig to respond to their interest.

What Arsenal have said about Benjamin Sesko

Kay shared what he’s heard about the striker.

“No, the last piece of information I was given was that there had been talks and Arsenal are waiting for an answer. Look, Arsenal are pushing hard for Sesko, no doubt about that. He’s their main guy,” Kay said.

“The latest quote, I actually got a quote back from Arsenal just literally saying at the moment there is no more to report. If you read into that where they’re saying not at the moment, I didn’t get a straight no, it was obvious to me that they were waiting for Leipzig.”

Sesko one to watch

As Kay says, Arsenal’s response on this matter does appear to suggest Sesko is one to watch.

Football clubs aren’t scared to dismiss rumours when they’re unfounded, but that’s not what Arsenal have done here.

The Gunners have said there’s nothing to report as of yet, and the fact that they’ve said ‘not yet’ rather than ‘no’ would suggest that they are indeed keen on Sesko.

Of course, whether or not Arsenal can get a deal done remains to be seen, but, by the sounds of things, the Gunners are keen on the striker and there is substance to these rumours.
