Exclusive: West Ham rekindle move for Brazilian starlet, deal close for Tim Steidten

West Ham United have had an infuriating summer already in the transfer market, but they are hoping for their first major breakthrough.

Their first big move saw them launch a bid for Brazilian international defender Fabricio Bruno.

However, despite close to agreeing a deal – their bid to land the 28-year-old collapsed, despite the best efforts of technical director Tim Steidten.

They have also held talks with Corinthians over a deal for 19-year-old winger Wesley – but that move has also stalled, whilst a bid for Palmeiras’ midfielder Luis Guilherme was called off due to excessive demands from the player and club.

But, now finally West Ham are seeing a breakthrough on the Brazilian front…

West Ham set to seal deal for Luis Guilherme

HITC can confirm that are back in talks with Palmeiras over Luis Guilherme after both the club and player lowered their demands.

HITC had revealed earlier this month that Hammers chairman David Sullivan had pulled away from the transfer as they did not think the finances were appropriate.

However, Hammers chief Steidten did not not give up on the deal and has played a key role in the move being resurrected.

HITC understand the deal for Guilherme is around £20million plus add-ons and West Ham are now hopeful the deal will be concluded this week.
