'By far the best': Endrick responds when asked if he wants to play with Inter Miami's Lionel Messi one day

Real Madrid striker Endrick has given his verdict on if he one day wants to play alongside Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi.

The Brazilian teenager is the next big thing coming out of South America with Endrick this summer due to move to Spain to sign for Madrid having agreed a €60m ($65m) deal with Palmeiras to land the 17-year-old attacker.

Already a full international with Brazil having scored his first goal ever for his country against England at Wembley Stadium, Endrick is a potential legend in the making for the Selecao if early signs are any indication to where the forward is going.

And the teenager has now given his verdict on playing alongside Messi.

Endrick admits he would love to play with Messi one day

Speaking to TNT Sports, Endrick admitted that he would love to play with Messi one day, a feeling every player in the world will have when it comes to the Inter Miami superstar.

Whilst Endrick’s dream might not come true given the stages the two forwards are now in in their careers, the Brazilian’s comments highlight just how respected Messi still is in the global game.

Enrdrick said when asked if he wants to play alongside Messi: “Messi is still by far the best in his country. Playing with him? Of course, which forward wouldn’t want to have his dribbling and passing at his side?

“He is very different. He has another style, he is at the same level as Cristiano Ronaldo, and that’s why he has already been chosen as the best in the world several times.”

Praise for Messi shows just how loved the Inter Miami star is

Messi will go down as arguably the most influential player in the modern era of soccer, with the Argentine international winning virtually everything there is to win and leading his clubs and country to greatness.

And praise from Endrick highlights just how loved Messi is, even from an international rival who could one day be considered one of the greatest if the Madrid star hits the ground running in Spain.

With only a few years left before Messi retires, it’s important to cherish the moments the forward is on the pitch, and many players would now love to share the same field as the 36-year-old.
