None other than The Only Way is Essex OG, Joey Essex, walked through those villa doors on the first episode of the series, and everyone’s jaw dropped. He’s certainly the richest Love Island star in there!
‘King of Essex’ is richer than most co-stars
Joey Essex‘s net worth is $10 million (£8.1 million), as per Celebrity Net Worth. This makes him the third richest The Only Way is Essex star, after Mark Wright at £15 million and Samantha Faiers at £9 million.
Starting out as the promoter for the nightclub Sugar Hut in Brentwood, Joey started appearing on the show in season two with his cousin, Chloe Sims, and was soon hailed the King of Essex.
He appeared on the ITV show from season 2 to 10 before announcing his exit, going on to launch a hair products line, Joey Essex D’Reem Hair, and two fragrances, Fusey for men and My Girl for women.

Joey now ‘wants to find a vibe’
The King of Essex may be looking for his one true love, but it’s certainly going to involve some twists. He’ll have to steal one of the girls from their couples after just 24 hours in the villa!
Joey says, “Obviously, I’ve got to keep my cards close to my chest,” but admits, “My game plan is to get to know everyone really, I want to get to know all the girls on a personal level and who I vibe with most.”
“It’s obviously been tough because I have got to know all of you girls on a nice level. Got to know all you boys on a cool level – I feel like we’re tight and we’re getting on well but this is Love Island….” he adds.
