Report: AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund showing interest in Everton player who's really impressed Sean Dyche

Everton are now receiving interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs in one of their players who they rate at £10m.

A number of players are being linked with a potential move away from Goodison Park this summer with the club continuing to be at risk of further FFP breaches.

Sean Dyche‘s men were able to comfortably retain their Premier League status despite having points deducted from them earlier in the season.

Everton‘s 2024/25 campaign will be their final season at Goodison Park and will provide a number of players with potentially their last season with the club.

And one of those players who is now going into the final year of his contract is now picking up interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs ahead of this summer’s window.

£10m Everton player receiving interest from European giants

Summer sales could well be needed at Everton to save the Toffees from further points deductions following their penalty this season.

Jarrad Branthwaite is perhaps the player who is of highest demand at Everton this summer with the likes of Manchester United believed to be interested in Branthwaite.

But it now seems there are others who Everton could be at risk of losing over the coming weeks with interest growing from across Europe.

According to reports, AC Milan are now looking to revive their interest in Ben Godfrey ahead of the summer transfer window.

With the defender now entering the final year of his deal, Borussia Dortmund are also credited in the report with long-term interest in the defender.

However, the report claims this is a player who Sean Dyche has been really impressed by over the course of the second half of the 2023/24 season.

With the defender able to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January 2025, the Toffees are said to value Godfrey at around £10m this summer.

Selling Ben Godfrey could prove smart business from Everton

The need to sell players at Everton this month could work against the Toffees with clubs knowing their financial situation.

However, with Godfrey, the Toffees are not looking for huge money for a player who only turned 26-years-old earlier in the year.

What would be interesting is to see whether Everton’s stance on selling Godfrey would change if they were to receive a big offer for Branthwaite over the coming weeks.

Although cashing in on Godfrey this summer could prove smart business, Everton will also have to be cautious of the need to replace players they sell ahead of the new season.
