On Tuesday, June 4, a regular meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was held. It was attended by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“After returning to Kyiv, the first thing I did was hold a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to get all the updates on the changes on the battlefield. I listened to a report by the Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi on the situation on the main directions,” Zelenskyy wrote.

In addition, there were reports from Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn. In particular, they discussed the fight against Russian Orlans, Lancets, and other drones, as well as the development of Ukraine's own drone and electronic warfare technologies.

“We have also identified priority areas for the deployment of the expected air defense systems,” the President said.

Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatolii Barhylevych also attended the meeting. He reported on the status of training, manning, and equipping brigades and reserves.

The heads of Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv military administrations reported on the further construction of fortifications, the protection of important facilities, including power generation, and the current state of electricity supply.
