Report: Tottenham receive an offer from Saudi Arabia for their 'magnificent' player

Tottenham Hotspur have just received an offer from a club in Saudi Arabia for one of their players.

Spurs have quite a few members in their squad who they would like to move on. Some of them are even entering the final year of their contracts, which is not ideal at all.

Tottenham now have a chance to part ways with one of their players following a bid from Saudi Arabia, but it’s not as easy as it seems.

What Giovani Lo Celso wants to do as Tottenham receive Saudi bid to sell him

Giovani Lo Celso has been at Tottenham since the summer of 2019.

The Argentine, on his day, is an extremely talented player. He has everything you would want from an attack-minded midfielder, but he just hasn’t been consistent enough.

That’s why Lo Celso’s future at Spurs has been far from certain for quite some time now. He may have even made his last Tottenham appearance.

In July, Lo Celso will enter the final year of his contract, and all signs are pointing towards a departure from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A number of clubs, including Real Betis, have been linked with a move to sign him but now, there is a concrete offer for Spurs to sell him.

That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who reveal that Tottenham have received a bid from Saudi Arabia for Lo Celso ahead of the start of the summer transfer window.

However, the ‘magnificent‘ midfielder has no interest in a move to the Middle East and has ruled it out. He only wants to join Real Betis this summer, although the report claims Galatasaray are keen to sign him as well.

Two other Tottenham midfielders could be sold

Lo Celso is not the only Tottenham midfielder who could be sold this summer.

Ange Postecoglou has other players in the middle of his park who are nowhere near the top of his pecking order.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is one of them, and the Dane could reunite with Antonio Conte at Napoli once the window opens this summer.

Another midfielder who could leave Tottenham is Oliver Skipp. The Spurs academy graduate played just 861 minutes of football in the 2023/24 season, and there’s a chance he could be sold too.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham will sign more than one midfielder to replace Lo Celso. Skipp and Hojbjerg if they do end up leaving Spurs this summer.
