The Music in the Parks series of concerts is to make a welcome return from June.
The programme of free Sunday afternoon concerts is open to all and will take place on beautiful green open spaces throughout the city.
Organised by Cambridge City Council, the music events are supported by Cambridge BID.
Director of operations and development, Becky Burrell, said: “Music in the Parks is such a popular summer highlight in the city.
“The concerts give everyone in the community, the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful time of the year in Cambridge’s lovely local parks and recreation grounds, while relaxing and listening to live afternoon music in the company of friends and family.”
Music in the Parks is a highlight in the city’s summer calendar, with people enjoying the opportunity to get together in their local parks and recreation grounds while relaxing and listening to live afternoon music.
The series of six free concerts offers an array of music. From the ska dance rhythms of Cambridge’s Big 10 and Colonel Hathi to sophisticated funk and pop, multi-voiced choral creations and the joyous sound of swing jazz, blues, soul, and Latin.
The concerts take place between 3pm and 5pm. All events include toilet facilities and some chairs, however please bring your own if possible.

14 July – Cherry Hinton Hall: Cambridge Wind Band
4 August – Chesterton Recreation Ground: We Got That Swing
11 August – Jesus Green: Big 10 and Colonel Hathi
18 August – Nuns Way Recreation Ground: Waterbeach Brass
1 September – Dudley Road Recreation Ground: Under the Covers.
