‘I love him’: Alan Shearer says Arsenal have a player who’s even better than Jamal Musiala

Jamal Musiala is one of the best young players in world football right now.

The Bayern Munich midfielder is already a superstar, and, in another world, he’d be one of England’s most important players.

Indeed, Musiala was eligible to play for England before switching allegiances to Germany, and he could’ve been a centre-piece of the Three Lions’ young side.

Speaking on the BBC Match of the Day Top 10 Podcast, Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer have been discussing Musiala in comparison to some of England’s current stars.

Lineker asked Shearer to choose between Musiala and Bukayo Saka, and the pundit gave a rather interesting answer.

Alan Shearer picks Bukayo Saka over Jamal Musiala

Shearer shared his verdict on the two young stars, claiming that he’d pick the Arsenal star over the Bayern Munich ace.

“Saka or Musiala? I’m enjoying this game,” Lineker asked.

“Saka, I love Saka, I think his attitude is amazing,” Shearer said.

Saka vs Musiala

This is a very interesting debate between two of the best players of this generation.

Choosing between Saka and Musiala is not easy. These two are both absolutely fantastic, and you could make an argument for either player being better.

Saka is, of course, more proven at a higher level as he plays in the Premier League, while he’s also made a bigger mark on the international stage.

That said though, Musiala has a much more impressive trophy haul, while he’s also performed better in the Champions League over the years.

The reality is that these are two players that are bordering on being world class, and they could well define the next generation of football as they approach their peak years.

In another world, Saka and Musiala would be England teammates, but, sadly, it hasn’t worked out that way for Gareth Southgate’s side.
