Build A Bear fans stumble upon the 'over 18' section called The Bear Cave

Build-A-Bear customers are only just realizing that their favorite plushie brand also has an over-18 section known as The Bear Cave.

Thanks to TikTok, we are constantly learning new things like how a humble kitchen spice could be the skincare prayer you’ve been asking for. Someone just needs to tell the US government, which has already challenged the owner of the app, ByteDance.

Come enter the Bear Cave at Build-A-Bear

If you’re unaware of the magic of Build-A-Bear, then let The Focus clue you in on the most expensive stuffed animal you will ever buy. As the name suggests, Build-A-Bear allows customers to make their perfect partner from scratch; choosing everything from the stuffing to the eyes. Afterward, customers are encouraged to dress the bear in various garbs that are way more expensive than their own clothes.

While most people have some kind of understanding of Build-A-Bear, social media was shocked to learn of the brand’s over-18 section, The Bear Cave. In a recent viral TikTok from Peter (@peterpetrella), fans were offered a look inside.

“So when you get to Build-A-Bear’s website, there’s a section on it called The Bear Cave and when you click on it you have to be 18,” he told his followers in the video, sparking nearly 300k likes. “This is the homepage of it, and we’re going to go into the afterdark section.”

The collection starts off fairly subtle with Pride outfits that you’d expect would be in their normal section, after all, a shirt with a rainbow heart is hardly adult content you’d expect from an over-18 section. After that, Build-A-Bear featured a number of bears with alcohol including a female one that looked just like “Kris Jenner or Violet Beauregarde’s mother from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”

Things took a naughtier turn about halfway down when Peter spied shirts bearing words and terms like “Zaddy” and “You Turn Me On.” Last, and arguably the most adult-geared item in the shop, was a “Catwoman” bear that looked more like a dominatrix. Still, there’s a customer for everything.

Shockingly, some TikTok users said they were frequent customers at The Bear Cave, with one even sharing that her bear owns the Zaddy t-shirt.

One person said: “As a Build-A-Bear employee I personally love the bear cave it’s hilarious.”

“The pink tracksuit is the mom from Mean Girls! She always has a margarita and even gives the girls verging ones at some point,” another revealed.

A third argued: “It’s more tame than what I was thinking they would have.”
