Wolves target Che Adams could stay at Southampton

Wolves attempted to sign Adams last summer however their move was blocked by Southampton.

Though the Midlands club plotted to revive their interest in the striker this year, the Saints could once again block a move.

The Scotland international is out of contract at St Mary’s this summer although, the South Coast club revealed that talks are ‘ongoing’ regarding a new contract, as per Southampton’s retained list.

Now, Wolves could be forced to look elsewhere for a new number nine, with cost-effective options needed to strengthen O’Neil’s current options.

Youssef En-Nesyri – Sevilla

La Liga club Sevilla will be looking to generate quick profit this summer, with talisman Youssef En-Nesyri claimed to be one player who could be axed.

Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo mentioned this week that they could be forced to sell the forward for a price as low as €15m (£13m) to quickly balance the books.

Taking this update into consideration, Wolves should keep tabs on the Moroccan, who scored 20 goals over 2023/24 for Sevilla, as per Transfermarkt.

Sebastien Haller – Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastien Haller could be tempted by a move this summer, as Dortmund’s interest in Bundesliga talisman Serhou Guirassy was listed by Fabrizio Romano.

If the German club were to hire a new forward, Haller would slip down the pecking order, which could be something for Wolves to monitor.

The Ivorian had an underwhelming spell at West Ham however, his goalscoring prowess can’t be denied, having netted 165 domestic goals in just 393 appearances, via Transfermarkt.

Being a player with great experience playing around Europe, the 29-year-old could provide the presence in the box that O’Neil desires at Molineux.

Eddie Nketiah – Arsenal

Now that Wolves have learned the transfer stance of Eddie Nketiah, the Old Gold could be tempted to move to the next level in their pursuit of the Englishman.

Arsenal are keen to offload the 25-year-old this summer, with his Premier League experience something that should alert Wolves.

While Nketiah is not the most prolific scorer, a boost of confidence could see the Emirates outsider thrive under O’Neil, with glimpses of his potential already seen in the top flight.

There is a player there to be moulded and guided by the Wolves boss, with Nketiah having spent some time being mentored by the best, having been coached by Thierry Henry as a 16-year-old at Arsenal.
