Poles extend blockade of Ukrainian border: Details revealed

The Poles continued blocking the Ukrainian Rava-Ruska checkpoint until the end of the day, June 6. In the morning, fifty trucks were standing in line, according to Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“The blocking of the Rava-Ruska checkpoint by Polish farmers does not end at the specified time, as previously reported, at 2 p.m. on June 6,” he states.

According to the spokesperson, following a meeting with Polish colleagues, they informed that the preliminary unblocking of traffic for trucks in the direction of the Polish checkpoint Hrebenne by the protesters in Poland should take place at midnight on June 7 (Kyiv time).

Ukraine-Poland border situation

Currently, the situation at this checkpoint is unchanged, Ukrainian trucks are blocked by Poles.

"A small number of trucks are crossing the border towards Ukraine, about 60 over the past day. As of this morning, there were about 50 trucks in the queue in Poland,” adds Demchenko.

Polish protesters may unblock the Rava-Ruska checkpoint on the border with Ukraine on June 6. This is the last blocked checkpoint.
