Turkish press claim Man Utd have just rejected opening bid for player which would see £41m loss on 2019 move

As the summer transfer window nears its commencement, Manchester United are already reported to be moving on several fronts.

Ineos will be keen on making their mark to kick start the new era at Manchester United which has arrived after such a long period of sporting mismanagement by the Glazer family.

Already the club have been linked with several exciting players this summer as something of an overhaul is required in multiple positions.

But it won’t only be incomings which will take headlines this summer, with quite a few players set to be sold, joining Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial on the exit list.

Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are both likely to depart and now there’s reportedly another player who is likely to leave this summer, with United already rejecting a bid.

Manchester United reject bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

After having already sold Alvaro Fernandez this summer for £6m, United have just rejected the chance to sell a second full-back this summer.

It’s according to the Turkish outlet FotoMac, which reports that Galatasaray have seen their opening offer to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer rejected by Ineos.

The report explains that Galatasaray are looking to reinforce at right-back and Wan-Bissaka is the name which has become an early front-runner, which has seen a bid worth £8.5m made.

United rejected this, however, the report continues that the door remains open and negotiations are ongoing over a potential move this summer.

A move to Galatasaray could see Wan-Bissaka potentially reunite with his United teammate Martial also linked with a move to Galatasaray on a free transfer.

Selling Wan-Bissaka at this price shouldn’t be an option for Ineos

An offer of just £8.5m for Wan-Bissaka is laughable in many ways but for United, selling for this little a fee can’t be an option and makes zero sense.

Signed for £50m in 2019, this would see a loss of £41.5m on the right-back who possesses impeccable and unreplaceable defensive qualities and would be impossible to replace for this amount.

Selling Wan-Bissaka should only be done in order to bring in a better Diogo Dalot understudy and for £8.5m there is a risk that United end up embarrassed like with the Fred sale.

Wan-Bissaka is likely to leave this summer, but United should look to receive a fee of at least double the initial Galatasaray offer.
