‘Not many players’: Gabby Agbonlahor says he was amazed by what he saw from one Man City player recently

Gabby Agbonlahor has said that one Manchester City star has done something recently that not many other players could do.

After the latest domestic season came to an end, numerous international sides have been playing friendly games this week in preparation for the upcoming European Championship in Germany.

With several of these games now played, one particular City player has caught the attention of one pundit, who wasn’t shy in sharing some high praise about what he saw from the player.

Gabby Agbonlahor says Jack Grealish did something impressive in latest England appearance

Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor had this to say about Jack Grealish and what he did in England’s 3-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday night.

He said: “Look how well he did when he came on on Monday night, got the assist for Trent [Alexander-Arnold]. Not many players see that pass.

“But I think Jack’s experience as well and what he can offer – 100% in the squad.”

Grealish grabbed an assist for England in Bosnia

After replacing Eberechi Eze in the 62nd minute against Bosnia, Grealish went on to provide the assist for England’s second goal of the game.

The pass that Agbonlahor mentioned saw the 28-year-old deliver a back-post cross to and unmarked Alexander-Arnold, who volleyed the ball into the back of the net to double the Three Lions’ lead.

Interestingly, just a few hours after these comments from Agbonlahor were aired, it was revealed that Grealish was one of the seven players in the initial 33-man squad that were cut from the final lineup by Gareth Southgate.

This, therefore, would presumably have been a big shock to Agbonlahor given his certainty that the City winger would be in the squad.

Overall, given how Grealish managed to get his assist on Monday after having an admittedly difficult season with City, it should be a big disappointment for him to not make the final cut for the Euros.
