Police in South Jersey are searching for three more suspects in a series of fights that broke out at a town fair over the weekend.

The brawls wreaked havoc on the Gloucester Township Day festivities on Saturday, June 1. The annual event, which started at noon and was scheduled to last until 10 p.m., includes rides, games and food vendors.

The violence started around 8:40 p.m. as families were gathering at Veterans Memorial Park for a drone show. Eventually, the group of adults and children who were fighting grew to about 500 people, the Gloucester Township Police Department said.

A total of 11 people, including nine teenagers, have already been arrested, police said.

The department is now searching for another three suspects who were allegedly seen assaulting someone on Saturday night near the basketball courts at Veterans Memorial Park. The men were caught on video kicking and stomping on a person who was on the ground, officials said.

Police have released photos of the suspects and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying them.

The brawls were under control by about 11 p.m. on Saturday. Three police officers were injured while attempting to break up the fights, authorities said.

The nine teenagers arrested were between the ages of 13 and 17, police said.
