Report: Man United very impressed by Premier League manager and prefer him to Thomas Tuchel

Manchester United might have won the FA Cup but their manager Erik ten Hag is still facing an uncertain future at the club.

Ten Hag got his big day at Wembley and spoke passionately afterwards about his achievements at the club and what the future might hold.

However, that hasn’t stopped speculation over Ten Hag’s future and just a few weeks on from that cup final win, the United boss is still none the wiser over his future.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS now running the ship, a number of managers have been mentioned as potential replacements for Ten Hag.

And according to reports today, one Premier League manager is catching the eye of INEOS.

Manchester United impressed with Thomas Frank as Thomas Tuchel interest wanes

According to a report from The Independent, United’s search for a new manager is ongoing and there remains no decision made on Ten Hag.

However, in terms of who might replace him, it’s reported that Brentford manager Thomas Frank is one of the managers to have impressed INEOS and Ratcliffe’s team.

It’s claimed that Frank has made an impression on United decision makers, while former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has dropped down the list.

Suggestions of a change in outlook from Tuchel and United’s board have seen the German become less appealing.

United need to make a decision soon

The longer this rumbles on, the more problematic it will become for both the United players and fans.

And that’s not to mention how Erik ten Hag must be feeling.

Ultimately, United and their new board need to make a decision here. Ten Hag needs to know what is happening and from there, the club can plan accordingly.

In terms of Thomas Frank being the man impressing, he’s more than proven himself at Brentford over the last few seasons.

Quite whether he can do the same at the behemoth that is Manchester United, will only be seen if he gets that chance.
