After Daichi Kamada… Two Crystal Palace targets now available for free as clubs set them for release

After securing a deal for Daichi Kamada, two more potential free agents could be in sight for Crystal Palace.

This summer has already been a busy one for Crystal Palace with one signing having already been completed and passed his medical in Chadi Riad.

This deal looks set to be followed by the arrival of Daichi Kamada on a free transfer from Lazio with that deal being close.

Free transfers could be the way forward for Palace this summer, especially with Dougie Freedman in charge and the trust we all have in his recruitment.

Now, two free transfer options who’ve been linked with the Eagles are officially set to be released.

Two Crystal Palace targets are now available for free

This summer, Freedman has been busy already but now two more targets have just been released by their clubs which could see the Eagles swoop.

Firstly, Spurs released left-sided winger/wing-back Ryan Sessegnon this past week. Before his release, he had been linked with a move to Palace, and this has continued since.

Now, South London Press has reported the Eagles’ interest in bringing the former wonderkid to Selhurst Park to hand Tyrick Mitchell some competition.

Sessegnon isn’t the only linked player to be released with Leicester City announcing that they’ve released striker Kelechi Iheanacho as per The Athletic.

This comes after he was linked with a move to Palace where he would likely support Jean-Philippe Mateta upon Odsonne Edouard’s potential sale.

Another potential free agent target is West Ham’s Ben Johnson, although he remains in talks with West Ham.

Should Crystal Palace sign these two free agents?

While Palace have already dipped into the free agent market with Kamada likely to arrive possibly after this current round of internationals, the club could still look to do so again.

These two options in particular are players Palace should swoop to bring in and it seems pretty obvious to do so considering they’ll both solve current issues at the club.

Mitchell has impressed since Glasner’s arrival, but he has no support, and therefore Sessegnon is a superb potential addition to the position.

Similar to the left wing-back position, up-top reinforcement is needed too and Iheanacho, therefore, should also be brought in.

With the positions needing additions anyway, passing up on players of this quality just shouldn’t happen.
