'I expect him to leave Arsenal': Fabrizio Romano suggests 'magnificent' Gunners player is now likely to be sold

Arsenal are likely to have a busy summer ahead of them both in terms of outgoings and incomings in the transfer market.

The Gunners will be eager to strengthen their ranks in pursuit of the Premier League title and of the various cups.

As well as looking at new signings, Arsenal will likely offload players who have become surplus to Mikel Arteta’s requirements.

One player likely to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer is Kieran Tierney, who has fallen out of favour at Arsenal.

Once an indispensable player for the Gunners, Tierney ended up spending most of last season on loan at Spanish side Real Sociedad.

Fabrizio Romano has now shared an update on the Scotland international, who is unlikely to be either at Sociedad or Arsenal next term.

“Sergio Gomez, the left-back of Manchester City, is top of the list for Real Sociedad as new left-back,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.

“Kieran Tierney is returning to Arsenal and I expect him to leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window.”

Arsenal have moved on from Kieran Tierney

Although Tierney helped Arsenal move up a level, he has suffered a lot with injuries and, as a result, has fallen down the pecking order.

The 27-year-old sadly continued to have fitness issues at Real Sociedad, going on to make 26 appearances in all competitions.

Tierney has certainly been ‘magnificent‘ for Arsenal on many occasions, but it looks as though the club has moved on from him.

With that in mind, the Scotland international should focus on sealing a permanent move away and find a new club to call home.
