Arsenal now waiting to 'hear' from £55m target after presenting transfer 'project'

Arsenal have reportedly delivered their pitch to a rumoured £55m target heading into this summer’s transfer window.

The Gunners are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the upcoming market with Arsenal set to spend big on a new superstar attacker and central midfielder, with Bruno Guimaraes and Douglas Luiz recently linked with moves to north London.

Given that some big names could also leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, all signs are pointing towards Arsenal potentially matching the £250m the Gunners spent last year to bring in the likes of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.

Arsenal have now made their pitch to sign Benjamin Sesko

Speaking to Caught Offside, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Arsenal have presented their project to RB Leipzig superstar Benjamin Sesko, who this week has been strongly linked with a move to the Gunners.

With a reported release clause worth £55m, Sesko would be quite an exciting signing if Arsenal can get the deal over the line, though the Gunners already face rumoured interest from the likes of London-based rivals Chelsea.

Romano said: “Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal have presented their projects and all three clubs are waiting to hear from Benjamin Sesko. They all have different projects, different ideas, a different vision and obviously different plans as well as different kinds of proposals in terms of salary.

“I can guarantee to you that, as of today, Benjamin Sesko has still not decided where he will go, but he had some contacts with the clubs to understand about the projects and he will decide in the crucial days ahead.”

Sesko would be crazy to join rival clubs over the Gunners

Arsenal have firmly established themselves as one of the most exciting clubs in Europe under Mikel Arteta having come close to the Premier League title in back-to-back years with one of the youngest squads on the continent.

All signs suggest that silverware is just on the horizon for Arsenal, and for Sesko, opting to join Chelsea or Manchester United over the Gunners would be viewed by many neutrals as nothing short of insanity.

Indeed, Arsenal’s need for a centre-forward of Sesko’s profile would make north London a dream destination for the striker, and the 21-year-old could thrive under Arteta’s coaching in the seasons to come.
