Big West Ham blow as Man Utd reportedly prepare £13m bid for 27yo who wants Old Trafford move

So Manchester United could prove to be a big problem for West Ham United in the transfer market this summer.

Both West Ham and Manchester United need to drastically strengthen their respective squads in the summer transfer window.

Julen Lopetegui has plenty of work to do, and he is thought to be prioritising the addition of a new centre-forward this summer.

Michail Antonio has been brilliant for us, but Lopetegui cannot afford to let this transfer window pass by without bringing in a big upgrade on the 34-year-old.

Youssef En-Nesyri is someone who is apparently right at the top of Lopetegui’s wish-list this summer.

It’s little wonder as to why – they worked together at Sevilla for two-and-a-half years, and the Moroccan is perfectly suited to the system that the Hammers boss likes to deploy.

The 27-year-old would be a stunning signing for West Ham this summer – the ideal addition to our current attacking options.

West Ham have actually chased En-Nesyri’s signature since January 2021, and this summer seems to be the time when we finally could get our man.

Beware though, there’s trouble on the horizon…

Manchester United to challenge West Ham for Youssef En-Nesyri

So the hard-working front-man seems to be keen on moving to the Premier League from La Liga this summer.

Unfortunately for us though, Old Trafford seems to be En-Nesyri’s preferred destination.

That’s according to Rudy Galetti at least. The Italian reporter is well known for getting transfer information very early on in proceedings.

The football journalist took to X to provide an update on the Sevilla striker’s future:

Missing out on the signing of Youssef En-Nesyri to Manchester United would be an absolute hammer blow for West Ham.

The Morocco international has absolutely everything the Hammers need in a centre-forward, what with his work-rate, aerial prowess and finishing ability.

He’s well capable of leading the line on his own and is in another league to Michail Antonio.

En-Nesyri would take us to a whole new level entirely, and we’d be a serious attacking threat with him playing in between Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus and in front of Lucas Paqueta.

However, Man United seem set to wreck our summer plan.

West Ham should have moved to sign En-Nesyri much sooner, and now we face the possibility of missing out on him. To say that’s frustrating would be a big understatement.
