Ebere Eze sends Joachim Andersen ruthless message ahead of England vs Denmark at EURO 2024

Ebere Eze has now sent a ruthless message to Joachim Andersen as the Crystal Palace duo prepare to meet at UEFA EURO 2024.

England take on Denmark in Matchday Two of Group C on Thursday 20th June, where the Crystal Palace No.10 will face the Crystal Palace No.16 – as will Marc Guehi, Adam Wharton and Dean Henderson, of course.

So, what did Ebere Eze say about facing Joachim Andersen at UEFA EURO 2024? Let’s take a look…

What Ebere Eze said about Joachim Andersen

Speaking after England’s disappointing 1-0 loss to Iceland on Friday night, Palace TV asked the England No.21 for his thoughts on facing the Dane in Group C.

Eze clearly means business going into this tournament, as he coldly said “out there, he’s not gonna be our friend” – ruthless.

In full, the England international said: “Yeah, teammate at Palace, but out there, he’s not gonna be our friend. We’re going to do everything we can to win.”

In response to the same question, Guehi replied: “We’ll come to that when that comes, I’m not gonna say too much. We’ll see each other soon, that’s all I’m gonna say.”

Every England fan should love Eze’s response – in our view, at least.

The Three Lions have a fantastic chance of winning UEFA EURO 2024 this summer, but a large part of getting over the line will come down to mentality, and how much the players really want it.

Listening to Eze, he seems to have his head firmly screwed on heading into his first ever major tournament, which is great to see for any England supporter.

Incredible Crystal Palace statistic regarding UEFA EURO 2024 emerges

With four players in the England squad and another in the Denmark camp in Andersen, Group C is heavily populated by Crystal Palace.

In fact – according to statistician Duncan Alexander – 4.8% of all the players in Group C are employed by Crystal Palace, which is quite the achievement for a club not partaking in European football right now.

Hopefully, all five can impress at UEFA EURO 2024 – before returning to Selhurst Park ready to do something special under Oliver Glasner.
