Fabrizio Romano shares timeframe of how £20m West Ham transfer will unfold over next 3 days

West Ham United are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras this summer.

Luis Guilherme is thought to be on the verge of joining West Ham in a £20 million deal – one that could eventually rise to £25.5 million.

The 18-year-old is a left-footed right winger by trade, but he is capable of playing anywhere across the front-line.

Julen Lopetgui desperately needs to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium this summer, and many thought he would bring in an established name.

However, West Ham are clearly going down the route of a youngster with huge potential, and the imminent Guilherme signing has apparently got the backing from every single key figure at the club.

So what’s left to do before the Palmeiras winger can be officially called a Hammers player? Fabrizio Romano has helped break it down for us…

Luis Guilherme to West Ham transfer is now close

So the Brazilian looks to be all set to join the Hammers.

However, it’s far from done just yet.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed via his official X account that West Ham’s deal to sign Guilherme will be completed next week.

And here is the exact time-frame of how everything will go down:

  • Guilherme will fly to England on Sunday (Today)
  • Player will arrive in London with his representatives on Monday (Tomorrow)
  • Brazilian will undergo his medical somewhere between Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Deal will be signed until 2029

So whilst the deal to bring the Brazilian to the London Stadium is clearly not officially done just yet, it seems like it’s close to being wrapped up.

Luis Guilherme is somewhat of an unknown quantity, certainly in Europe, so it’s unclear as to what he will bring to West Ham.

However, what isn’t up for debate is the fact that he is an incredibly talented young winger, with the world at his feet.

The South American is absolutely rapid and has unbelievable ability when in possession of the football.

Only time will tell as to whether he ends up being a good signing for the Hammers or not. The fact that Tim Steidten has convinced David Sullivan to part with just over £25 million to bring him to the London Stadium tells us a lot about his potential though.

I’m just hoping that he ends up being a big success at the club.
