Holiday on account of Sikh Guru's death anniversary rescheduled for tomorrow

The Jammu Kashmir government has rescheduled two holidays in the union territory: Martyr’s Day of Guru Arjun Dev and Guru Hargobind’s birthday.

According to an order from the government, a copy of which was obtained by the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the holidays will now be observed on June 10 and June 22, respectively.

The order states, “The restricted holiday for Martyr’s Day of Guru Arjun Dev Ji will now be observed on June 10 (Monday) instead of June 16 (Sunday) in the union territory.”

Additionally, it noted that the public holiday for Guru Hargobind Ji’s Birthday will now be observed on June 22 (Saturday) instead of July 5 (Friday)”—(KNO).
