The Pokrovsk sector is the most difficult of all on the front line today. Nevertheless, Ukraine is working to ensure that the military has enough to defend itself, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Pokrovsk direction, Donetsk region. The situation on the frontline is the most difficult almost every day. The occupier's pressure is the greatest. The largest number of battles takes place there every day. Yesterday alone, there were more than 40 attacks, today, as of this time, there are more than 20. Each of our soldiers, who is destroying the enemy there, each of our soldiers and commanders who are doing everything to hold our positions and help the soldiers in the positions nearby, I am especially grateful to all of you,” the head of state said.

Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is making every effort to ensure that the military has more weapons, more equipment, more modern systems.

"Today, we have already heard the report of Chief Commander Syrskyi, and we will hear the report of the head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Budanov, as we prepare our new steps. Ukraine will definitely defend itself,” the President added.

According to the General Staff, as of the evening, more than 60 combat engagements took place at the front. More than 20 of them took place in the Pokrovsk sector. In the evening, fighting still continued in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Novoselivka Persha and Novopokrovske.
